What is Critical Literacy.
Critical literacy is applying critical thinking to a text for example; books, podcasts, T.V Shows ect.Definitions
Bias; When you favour one thing over another.Source; Where you get information from.
Credible; What you tell them can be believed and true.
Authority; Having respect or power.
Reliable; It has credibility and trustworthy.
Perspective; The way you or someone see something.
Agenda; Someones intentions.
Manipulate; How you change someones view on something.
Find your Focus
Find the definitionText; Anything that gives you information. I.e game, newspaper, TelevisionConstruction; The building or making of something.
Representation; The state of being represented or act on a behalf.
Stereotype; a fixed image or set of characteristics to represent a particular type of person or thing.
Bias; When you favour one thing or person over another
Inclusion; The act of making something part of another thing.
Exclusion; Leaving someone or something in a particular .
Masculine/Feminine; A stereotype to describe each gender.

Representations ~ role of women and men
How are adults constructed in this text?
Adults are portrayed completely different to each gender .
What kind of social reality does this text portray?
It show the stepbrother of how women and men where portrayed before in the 1970's

It shows how women expected to stay at hem while men are expected to go to work.
When I watch these videos I noticed how in the first clip the women are expected to rely on men to do the "manly jobs" while the women ar expected to stay home and clean. The second clips shows how women do not need someone to carry them everywhere and they could be there own person. But both girls are portrayed as girly and in dressed up in bright colourful dresses.
What happened in the advert
“You're a bloody idiot!
In the advert the characters are going to a bar and there is meant to be one sober driver, he decides to have a drink after seeing everyone else drinking. That lead to more drink making him too drunk to drive. Unlucky enough this did not stop him. He while he went to take them home he didn't make it there and in result one of the passengers died and his friends befriended him.
Your a bloody legend
This text/advert has the same meaning in this advert the friend has a choice to make. Does he choose to tell his friend to not drive home drunk? or can he let home drive home drunk and risk the chance of letting him die and have that guilt?
Are these text fair?
I don't think these texts are fair because the only drunk people there are Maori, or Pacifistic Islanders, Younger people and men. These text don''t include women or older people.

Teenagers are constructed as reckless and caring more about other peoples opinion.

This text show how age is depicted as careless and stereotyping . They are also seen as
Why does the text written this way?
So that it can scare someone into stop drunk driving and keep something humerus to be more effective.
