The Giver - Movie Review

Today and yesterday for English we watched the movie "The Giver" Its about people who live in a world where they have forgeten mostly everything from the past including, Colour, War, dancing and more than I can say. Once the have reached a certain age they get asigned jobs for the rest of their lives. But the main charater gets given the most important job which is "The Reisiver Of Memory" His/Her job is to be given all the memories from the past which has been erased from everyones life.

Did I like the movie? Why?

Yes, I liked this movie because it was interesting & fun to watch. I liked the part where Jonas took and stole Gabreil so he can take him to boundry of memories to save Fiona and everyone else.

What is something you disliked?

My least favourite part is when Jonas's dad had to take a baby to "Elsewhere" and the fact that he didn't know what he was doing. 

What do you think the purpose of this movie is?

I think the purpose of this movie is to make you think beyond what you see everyday. (like critical litercay) I also think it is making you think our side the box . "Don't take anything for granded and you are lucky."

How did this movie make you feel?

This movie makes me feel all sorts of feelings like, anger, sadness, happiness and anxious. This movie also gave me butterflies.

Would you watch this movie again? Why?

I would like to watch this movie again because of the concept and feelings involved and it is now up in the top 2 of my favorite movies along with To All The Boys I Loved Before. 

Extras

Another thing that made me sad was when Jonas discovered and remembered War and people who poach. Something that also made me happy was when Jonas remebered dancing, love and adreniline.
