Human Rights - Child Soldiers

For Social Studies we have been learning about human rights, further more child labour. We recently have been reading the Iqbal novel. A novel about a boy named Iqbal who had been enslaved along with a large group of children. These children were forced to work and make carpets. Iqbal had a more intelligent mind, this would help him later in life to escape from his captors. He carried on his free life travelling around the world to spread awareness of child slavery. He provoked and helped many children to their freedom and shutdown slave programmes. Sadly because of this he had major consequences. Arriving home one day he was shot and killed at the age of 12.

Our task was to research and choose a topic either: Child Slavery, Child Soldiers or Child Trafficking. I choose child trafficking. There is not much of a reason, just based on the research I found i wanted to learn more.

We had to create our own questions to research, I found it hard to come up with some questions but researching made it easier. The research was not too bad but was challenging at times. Before we made the poster we had to take notes, we needed to make sure our research did not rely on one article or website. This ensures the information is valid and non-bias.

Here is what I found from my research.
