Summer Holidays

I wake up from my deep holiday sleep to cat Mufasa meowing and attacking my bare and vulnerable feet. I gather up the energy to get up from my bed and feed him before taking him outside. Waiting down the stairs is my dog Lakoda -shes an American Akita-. Though our dog was young when she met him and they practically grew up together she's not so fond of him. I open the front door and Mufasa leaps from my arms, outside is where his freedom is. I look behind be and my dog is staring as the cat leaves my arms, she eyeballs him through the window.

Lakoda is an American Akita, due to her breed being dominating she can be a bit too much at times. Sometimes it can get out of hand and she jumps up at us when she gets frustrated. My Dad and I are trying to get her used to her crate again because we took it down for the Christmas tree but she is the most stubborn down I've met.  She can get so stubborn to the point were my Dad had just taken her for a walk or come from a dog park and as soon as she'd see the car she would sit and lay down not wanting to go in. My Dad has no choice but to pick her 34kg butt up and carry her all the way to the car.
