This week we worked on limerick poems, limerick poems are silly poems and they are tricky. We had to have the 1st, 2nd, and 5th row rhyme together then the 3rd and 4th lines had to rhyme but with something different to the other rows. The 1st 2nd and 5th lines had to have either 8 or 9 syllables and the 3rd and 4th lines had to have 5 or 6 syllables.
Here is my Limerick Poem.
There once was a young lady whose nose
Could be almost as long as a hose
She would always fart
Because she always ate a tart
She could always water a rose
